| Founded approximately 17 years ago by Ian Hastilow, the primary saddlefitter, and Sarah Bowler, an avid equestrian, Hastilow Competition Saddles manufactures saddles to fit both the horse and the rider. They have custom-made their saddles for many of the equestrians representing the United Kingdom, including Olympian Ian Stark and dressage rider Lizzie Lorristone-Clarke. Their business has grown to involve travel to international clients, including those of the United States, South Africa, Sweden and Germany. In addition to saddles, they manufacture bridles, halters, and various saddle accessories. The prices are reasonable, and often comparable, if not better, than “off-the-shelf” saddles here in the U.S. |
