Competition fuels the blood with anyone who has a pulse. Guessing who will win the NBA Finals or who knows who is singing the song on the radio is competition at any angle you look at it.
If you own an animal you are more than likely to purse talking about your animal in public. They become part of your family. If your son is an all-star football player then your whole town knows. Same with if your dog can catch a Frisbee at full speed while doing a triple Lutz.
Horse owners are the same as dog owners. Horses are praised in the United States, they are called thorough bred. Three times a year a major television network publicizes a horse race. The world stands open mouthed for nine minutes waiting for a champion.
Even if a horse cannot run a mile in seconds is not forgotten in competitions. Minor league competitions for horses sprout up around the world in the summer like strawberries do in farms.
Check your local Humane Society or Horse Clubs near you to get the dates for entering your horse in a competition. They will love it and you could win a ribbon. Ribbons are hip nowadays.
